Life Measured Poem by Linda Barnes

Life Measured

So I've been told
That my life is dark
Filled with holes
Not so nice or polite

If you can open
Dark clouds into light
This heart will surprise
Those who doubt

For I have loved
More deeply than most
Without question
Mostly to a fault

My life has been full
Of its greatest gifts
Mostly of family
Children and friends

So do not measure
This woman and her life
I have given more
Than most in their life
