Life's A Stage Poem by carolann crowley

Life's A Stage

Rating: 3.0

So many seeds I have not sown
nor worldly riches do I own
Yet my life I would not trade
Nor the varied roles I've played
For is not life like a stage
We the actors as we age
Times in which we grieve
wear our heart on our sleeve
There will be births we celebrate
and death we'll see as we wait
Lots of heartache along our way
But I would not give up a day
Nor change the role I'll play
For on this stage of life you see
so much love was shared with me
And even though they are gone
all that love still lingers on
So I'll continue on life's stage
until I am called backstage
Then on my final curtain call
I will bid adieu to one and all
