(Based on the philosophy of Henri Bergson's
'Elan Vital'- that wonerous urge of life; impels
growth, and transforms this planet into an
unending theatre of creation!)
O Life, O Time, O Perpetuity,
All at once,
Yet not to be!
I had held life close to my heart,
And hoped we would never part!
But we mortals flow all the while,
In the eternal stream of fluid time!
Making way for our youth to bloom,
And forever stress this eternal truth;
That death can never trample Life!
For in its surge and self-impelling force,
Life goes on creating in its unending course!
Life continues to beget new life, -
And subdues death all the while!
