Lights Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Lights

Rating: 2.7

These lights gather round
fluttering-
one brighter than the other-
but the latter glows yellow with joy;
another is a cool blue
I am illuminated in their reflections,
and cannot but smile,
for they are the children-
the earthly angels
we humans
are allowed.

I enjoyed this poem that refers to children being lights that brighten our lives. Very creative & quite lovely. Thanks for sharing. Ravensong
