Like The Days Going - Peter S. Quinn

Like the days going
I will go on,
river times flowing
till it is all gone.

Dreams are to follow
life is as it is,
sometimes rather hollow
or like a bliss.

Dreams are never the truth
just awake up thought,
like life's eternal youth
that men have sought.

Giving and taking
all is in its blending,
with new purpose waking
into reality mending.

Nights are for the stars
that you reach or try,
dreams of the afar's
opening up the night sky.

You may have a wish
to get on and through,
and perhaps all of this
is just an imaginary you.
