Lines Of The Unloved Poem by Celestine Nkwocha

Lines Of The Unloved

I'm that man in prison
A wounded dove in cage
Innocent and guiltless
Punished for a soup I never licked
I'm in need of some love
Please show me some love

I'm that boy in the street
A shepherdless sheep
Hungry and uncared for
Neither shoulder to cry upon
Nor a hand to pick me when I fall
I'm in need of you love
Please show me some love

I'm the widow mother by the road side
Rusting plantain for a living
A hen with a dozen chick
So many mouth to feed
But so little bread to give
I'm in need of you love
Please show me some love

I'm that guy under the bridge
Able, strong and smart
I'm like a wondering cat
I have no roof over my head
I'm in need of you love
Please show me some love.
