Lioner Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Lioner

Every story has a beginning
Every tale has got its end
Although chapters may go missing
Our life’s lessons must be learned

You came into my world
And calmed my fears inside
Like a knight in shining armour
You took away my strife

But alas life’s crooked trimmings
But alas fate’s playful design
Must stand and come between us
Saw fit to work against us

And now you bring the heartache
And now you cause me pain
Now there’s no more use believing
That there’ll be a happy end

You’ll be just another face
What we shared just but a phase
Another heart break to forget
Simply another page to turn
