Things are not going your way,
Black is more evident in the gray,
Not a smile on your face,
Nothing gives you solace..
Everyone and everything appear distant,
In favoring you, luck seems hesitant,
You feel time is not on your side,
and there is nothing you haven't tried.
Just when you think it can't get worse,
Something happens and life seems like a curse,
You stop smiling and give it all up,
Not half filled, its an empty cup.

I am the same as you,
Having felt this, in times old and new.
But now when i look and ponder,
It all makes perfect sense, i realize in wonder.
The cup was always filled up to the half,
I found no reason to not laugh,
There are little joys around in every season,
Always believe everything happens for a reason.
Just when you think its difficult to cope,
Look around,
You will always find,
Little packets of hope!
