Little Stars Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Little Stars

Born yesterday stars today;
Fifteen years of age barely,
Singing songs so sweetly,
So pleasingly and so lovingly,
That my soul seems lost,
And drowned in angels’ melody,
And my soul flees the world,
To hide in thy melodies,
Where rest and peace are lying,
As if forever and ever eternally,

Oh, little stars, you sing songs,
Like superstars of yesteryear,
When lips fumble and voices unclear,
And when days and nights shine,
With your gamy tricks and laughter,
Beauty of heavenly melodies you deliver,
Is there any sweetest music in earth and heaven?
So pure, sweet and intoxicating,
As the little stars’ merry voices, I think, none,

Let us listen to the music of little stars,
And treasure them within our soul,
That will make us happy and happier,
When our moods are a little bit off, my dear,
This is the event I am recounting,
In the great musical Star TV show of Indian idol junior,
And as I was listening to angels’ melody,
Stillness of night and music merged,
Propelling sleep in me and in sleep,
I dreamed little stars singing, dancing and weeping,
And sweet, soothing tears of God
Dropping down on them as blessings.......

Beautiful poem. Wonderful are those little stars. Thanks to the media which gave lot of opportunities to the youngsters as well as to everyone to prove their talent. Many turn out to be playback singers, dancers and many more opportunities waits at their doors. Loved reading it.
