Litttle Seed Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Litttle Seed

Little seed little seed;
Not known your caste and creed,
When and where you go,
When and where from, you come,
Looks like a mystery veiled,
Crawling, walking, running, flying,
And swimming are your playthings
Happy to see birds carry you,
Here and there sometimes,
And when we look for you, seek you,
You go hiding beneath and below ground,
And you say this is my sacred place indeed

What you contain, possess, carry;
Don’t appeal thief to steal
You and be treasured,
Looks like a lifeless thing,
Possesses neither beauty,
Nor worth, grace nor glory,
And of little importance to all,
None seem caring and worrying,
Their pretty little head with little seed,
Yet you glorify and beautify the world we live in,
From rich soil and beneath ground,
With warm sunbeams and refreshing showers,
Peep your head and say to the world,
Please be kind enough to spare,
A little space for your little friend in need

Oh, little seed, little seed;
How I wonder what you are,
Down below the ground,
You shine like a little star,
And up above the ground,
You shine like a superstar,
Growing and expanding
To a harmonious and beauteous plant,
Budding and blossoming,
And thereby enthralling all
And befriending all that
Come to you and sit,
And rest awhile under your shade,
Intuitive feeling so silent and sublime
That prompts a soul to say
I could see God here..........
