Living And Drugged Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Living And Drugged

Living and drugged.
Whether described,
As a calming barbiturate.
Legally prescribed,
As a sedative to hypocrites.
Feeling better they are not,
Narcotics.
Psychotic!

People living and drugged,
Want to escape from the pain of reality.
And everyday a truth to shake.
Or eliminate it not to face.

Many living and drugged,
Need to medicate and escape...
An imitating of life to be faked.
Ongoing they can no longer take.

To be the many left drugged.
On self importance to debate it.
To be the many left drugged.
As who God picked to be His favorites.
People living and drugged.
With beliefs they rule the World.
So many living and drugged.
Think they're the cheese and the bag of chips.
Too many living and drugged.
But can not see themselves as misfits.
Too many living and drugged.
Are in need to visit psychiatrists.
Done to do to not delay.
But quick!
