Living History Farm Poem by Marilyn Lott

Living History Farm

It was a beautiful farm to visit
Green lawns just freshly mowed
A living history farm it is called
And you know, it truly showed

Rustic old rail fences to follow
And lovely old buildings too
Chickens pecking and clucking
I’ll bet they’d lay an egg for you

When you walk into the kitchen
There is everything you would need
To cook a hearty country meal
Many farm hands you could feed

A garden with such perfect rows
Green bushy plants just right
It was the perfect country feel
Yes, truly a pleasant sight

Of course there was another spot
One that was used back in the day
A small structure is all you needed
Two holes inside was the faze

I hope you can visit like we did
Of course you’ll likely hear yarns
A dwelling that is used still today
It’s a Living History Farm!
