Living In Pain Poem by Justin Evett

Living In Pain

Everyone leaves in the end,
lying there watching you walk away
knowing that forever your gone,
as you slowly fade to the shadows.

All of the hate, and all of the pain
disintegrates to a pile of ashes,
in the dark black and blue flames
of that hell, know as my soul.

Night becomes day, and days become weeks,
but your still gone, and I,
no matter how hard I struggle,
can't seem to forget the thought of you.

To you, pain is just a word,
just another emotion that everyone knows.
A simple feeling that goes and comes
like dawn to dusk, but it's not to me.

Pain is the thought and sight of you,
the way you look, the way you smell,
the feeling of your touch against the skin.
For me pain is life...
...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
