Loneliness Poem by Blake Lives

Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

Loneliness is a terrible curse
A sickness with no cure
A tragedy in the place of a happy ending
It builds in the deep places of the minds afflicted until it swells to the surface
Vibrating throughout the conscious until your spirit is swallowed with blackness
Gone are those times you would kill to relive
Memories of family and friends mere shadows of their former glory
In its place only depression and sadness that could topple even a giant of men
It strikes unexpected when your last glass is empty to drag you to darker places beyond intoxication
No matter how hard you flee into momentary joy it finds a way to engulf you
