Loneliness Is My Only Friend Poem by Darren Harris

Loneliness Is My Only Friend

Rating: 5.0

Walking tall but I feel so small,
As I try to climb an invisible wall,
I start to scream,
As I fall,
But again there’s no one there to catch me,
No ones there to hear my screams as they echo all around me,
Loneliness is my only friend,

Still young but already dying,
I’ve wiped my tears but I’m still crying,
Should I give up?
Or carry on trying,
But again there’s no one there to wipe my tears,
No ones there to take away my fears,
Loneliness is my only friend,

Voices taunt my inner mind,
As my insanity they do grind,
Twisting my thoughts,
Making me blind,
But again there’s no one there to help me escape them,
No ones there to bring me back to reality,
Loneliness is my only friend,

But at least in loneliness i have a friend,
And loneliness will be with me until the end,

That's so beautiful, I feel the same way.
