Lonley sleepless night Lost in a over whelming sense of grieve Caused by a unnamed thief of life Bearing witness to so much tragedy that my only peace of mind is knowing that we are not promised tomorrow My heart is the Colorado River rapids Stomach churning from hunger Mind contemplating a short future And still so much to live for My rib My seed are true blessings But past memories rob happiness before it can reach the smile that never appears Victimized by images that can never be forgotten Face reaching towards the Heavens as tear drops glide gently Brushing against my ear lob before coming to rest on my lonely sleepless pillow
