Long Beach Of The Mind Poem by R.B. Gyle

Long Beach Of The Mind

Long Beach of the mind...
You have put your walls of color and cascades in front of your shores like I place a vase with flowers on my table.
You of the friendly coast for joggers day and night and vast condo rows with elegant views to your refineries, wearing fancy filaments that frame the eyes of your tenants, enjoying the closeness to your sexy sand that stimulates their skin to bronzing and their attention to stone. You have chiseled the consciousness of your population into a beautiful garden of statues so they can gaze at you forever in wonder, never blinking, like mortgaged monoliths buried in the sand.
