Long Before Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Long Before

Rating: 5.0

the flowers opened
long before she came
they felt the Dawn
and the first
lights:
long, long before.

Now

lie in ecstasy
and drowsiness of
the sultry
surfeiting.

and enclosed
by the petals opening
a whole sepulcher of beauty
rises
rises
into the gentle winds
and Zephyr smiles
