Long Long Day Poem by Lori Koch

Long Long Day

Long long day long long life
Why won't this rain stop
Where did the sunshine go?
I was just getting used to it
Buzzing windmills blowing out the sun
Giving me a low-pressure center

Need me an ark
Need to float away
Back to square one
Forget this day

Dubious soul doubtful heart
Your face on the moon
When did you change your orbit?
I already made a wish
Useless fancy for a blinded orb
Giving me too much space

Need me a ship
Need to lift off
Gotta get to flying
Carry me away

Shaken bottle shaken hands
Fading slo-mo montage
Who wrote this script?
Don't know my role
Superfluous drama in a stolen scene
Giving me double exposure

Need me a picture
Need to be heard
Get my name in lights
Find a part to play

Long long day long long face
Why won't this moment stop?
Where did the future go?
I was ready for tomorrow
Silent standstill in a frozen instance
Giving me the chills

Need me an ark
Need to float away
Back to square one
Forget this day

You used natural elements in an effective way in your poem. Good. I'd be glad to see your comments on my poems. Best wishes.
