You And Me 101 Poem by Lori Koch

You And Me 101

Rating: 3.5

What is it about you
That you can't let go
How many secrets will make you feel whole

How do I sleep
Knowing any moment you'll creep
Out the door and away from me

To do as you please
With more tricks up your sleeve
It's only wrong if you're caught

You make me feel stupid
You make me feel small
I'm fool enough to give you my all
You refuse to do the same

Like I don't deserve it
Like you didn't ask for it
So I shouldn't expect it

Why do you make me so happy
When the truth makes me so damn sad

If the bad is the real
The good must be false
You say it's my fault

It's just who you are
Just let it be
You won't change for me

I just want it right
I'm a slave to my fright
It's not fair that I fight
When you won't hear my plight

Give yourself a hand
You're going to do it anyway
Congratulations
Exposed my naivete

So what do I do
Tell me what to do
Can't think for myself
Just makes me mad
Then I can't look at you

I want to, I need to
And know that it's you
Not leftover you

Who's going to salvage
The illusion you stole
How can I be me
If my other half isn't whole

Another good poem. Somthing that many people can easily understand and relate to emotionally. Simple and honest, well written flow. Being blunt with added frills. Nice work.
