Bride and grooms
Both must blossom
Cherish and live happily
As everything is done beautifully

India is emerging magnificently
Education s imparted to girls considerably
Each parent wants their daughters to study
And face in life no misery or pity

Yet in remote villages
The customs of old ages persist
The decision of family matters is settled by village head
Sometimes newlywed couple are paraded openly for violation

Some couples revolt openly
Leave the village and settle in cities that are nearby
Other people from villages do not spare them
Bring them back to face punishment framed against

Now girls too have proved very bold
“The groom is turned back without marriage” I was told
Dowry still remains headache
The level of atrocity on woman has alarmingly reached high

Let s pray and extend our moral support
Laws are there but cases must be openly exposed with reports
The women must get empowerment in their affairs
With total social security and treatment should look fair
