All in all it’s not that bad
This thing we call being a dad
You get to see your children grow
And try to teach them things you know
But each takes on their own direction
With but a touch of your reflection
And so you watch them with such pride
These feelings that you cannot hide
You always do the best you can
Preparing them for what and when
And all the time that you are there
You have to take the time to care
For soon they will be all but grown
Making choices on their own
Looking back – it was all worth while
It made me glad it made me smile
