Looking Glass Poem by Tessa Eichhorst

Looking Glass

My trust is like a looking glass. Tall, smooth, free, and clear. An item to be cherished and held with care. Always loyal to a fault, never letting others in. That's the big difference with one and them.
My looking glass has chips and scars. It represents this pain in my heart. Never knowing how to feel, this glass is juggled and bobbled, my dear. Always afraid of what they can see. My glass has fingerprints all over me.
Once completely shattered, never to be repaired. This glass is my trust for you, my dear.
