Looks Can Be Deceiving Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Looks Can Be Deceiving

If it looks like a rat.
Walks, talks and smells,
Like one.
That could be a wrong thing,
To assess someone like that.

And besides...
Who knows?
What is seen to quickly,
Witness to observe...
Could just be,
Your average and innocent...
Politician.
Since no one should judge,
Anyone on appearance alone.

Since these days,
It is difficult to tell...
Who people are,
Underneath their cover up!
