Los Angeles Poem by Jason Summers

Los Angeles

Silence, secret, shadows
Darkness draws the night
Black shapeless silhouettes
None full of light.

Crazy, colorless, creepy
People persuade the streets
A snap, crackle, pop
Watch out for the deadbeats.

Death, devilish, dread
Redness reaps the cold
The shots shock the silence
Frozen hearts too cold to hold.

Silent, crazy, death
Words of the Angels' Saint
An outsider's nightmare
Walls with endless paint.
Nothing more to tell
Nothing more to see
Not a thing to live for
Los Angeles streets to be.
