Today I write this poem to say goodbye to you
I can't believe you left me in pain and feeling blue
God asked if he could borrow you and take you out of site
I wait in pain and anger till the day we reunite
My eyes will fill with tears my heart will bleed in pain
Until the day I hear your voice once again call my name
I know your watching over me an every move I make
But the pain of watching you leave me was just too much to take
I know they say your mother is your closest ever mate
An I know you will be again when we meet at heavens gate
I know that you looked after me for many many years
We've had so many laughs an shared so many tears
I will not think of bad but all the good we shared
It's only now I realize how much you really cared
