Lost And Found Poem by D.A. Woods

Lost And Found

Rating: 3.5

Above the masses I saw you,
My heart was first to see, who'd of knew.
You walking towards me, my feelings construe,
all the things I wanted to say as you came into my view.

My heart it was racing, my stomach afire,
the look of your face, I could never tire.
Because here is the girl I once admired,
I still do. My mind wont let go. Nor am I a liar.

I held you tight and the angels sang,
forget the past, love comes back like a boomerang,
today love bit me with her soft fangs,
and realising my love for you still kicks like a mustang.

It kicked so hard, yet still I can't think of nothing more,
presumptuously thinking our hearts have to settle an unfinished score,
within my heart you sparkling eyes opened a door,
a place I closed vowed to let nobody in no more.

Looking back on today and my only regret,
was to hold you tighter in the soaking wet,
like all the stars in the night sky beset,
I need you, I want you and there my mind is set.

I lost you once and please don't go away,
again I couldn't face such disarray,
I love you now, as I did in our yesterdays,
To keep you by my side, tonight my heart prays.
