Lost To Melancholy Poem by Cat Hodgson

Lost To Melancholy

I waited by the moon
Until the sun took its place
Day whimpered to far clouds
Rain splash against the pain

A clandestine lit flickered
Melancholy wailed
Yet to no avail
Moon departed

Flowers wilted
Puddles splashed
Wind howled
Hiding a tear
