Love Blooms Poem by Eric Joseph Lopez

Love Blooms

This is my world
This is me here
All this feeling
There is something inside
I cannot deny it
I’m barely breathing
Slowly collapsing into your arms I

I, got to say what’s on my mind
A real woman like you is hard to find
Everything seems so confusing to me
Scared like a little child I
I, don’t want to be left alone
Too walk into life on my own
I need for you to understand
That you may never find another man
Like me

These are my words
A poetic dream
The entire probability showing
Us, that the system is real
I cannot contained it
I’m gasping for air
I wish I had the strength to quit you but

If you push me away
I might not go easily
But if you want me to stay
You know where to find me I
Have to say what’s in my heart
You and I were meant from the start
We cannot control our destiny
And you make my heart my debility
For you

So I don’t want to rush things fast
Let’s take things slow see how it goes
Where life takes us from now
Into a few decades if possible
Yes it is inadequate the equation
Of the status between the distance apart
Not always we’ll get it the way we want
Or the ways see things up front
But what if I can assure you that I’ll

Always be there for you any time of the day
Too make all your wishes dreams come true
Never leave your side because I’ll
I’ll never cheat unless it’s death
I’ll never steal unless it’s you
I’ll never leave unless it’s to be with you
I’ll never look at another woman like the way I see you
There is nothing else to say other than I love you
