Love Everlasting Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Love Everlasting

Rating: 5.0

I want a love that never grows old
That comforts and protects
that can't be bought or sold
I want a love that grows ever dear
I want a love that gently stays near
and eases my fear
I want a love that stay true
That brings us closer in time
As memories we fondly review
I want a love that's always new
That teaches us the vaue of sharing
That grows fonder between two
I want a lover who's my best friend
who knows each inner emotion
who sticks with me to the end
I want a lover who stays by my side
Who judges kindly
Who make it easy to secrets confide
I want a love that shines like the sun
where two hearts melt together
and turn into one
I want a love soft and tender
That takes my troubles away each night
In sweet shared surrender
I want a love with a morning kiss
That begins the day with me in bliss
Whose company I constantly miss
I want a love that doesn't take things for granted
That cares about the simple things in life
and makes them feel somehow enchanted
I want a love that sings a song
Whose name is a melody in my head
That reminds me that somewhere I belong
I want a love that's simple and real
the kind of love that others can't steal
the kind of love I always will feel
I want a love that is never hungry or fasting
I want a love that honest and true
and pray that it will be love everlasting
