love has gone peace has gone
beauty of the earth has gone
innocent people die and cry
there is a moon in every eye

no harmony no prosperity
hearts full of pain are found
no calmness no tranquility
wounds on soul of man are found
no honesty no equity
sighs and tears on faces are found

yet my hope is here
though everything has gone
the dark night will end and
the bright day will begin
when flowers will bloom and
the birds will sing

and I will no more say
love has gone peace has gone
beauty of the earth has gone
innocent people die and cry
