Love Is Like A Rose...
Love is like a rose,
with gentle tender parts,
Slowly it unfolds,
And develops in your heart,
Its beauty cant be tamed,
Its as wild as the wind,
Words can never explain,
The feeling held within,
You could be cut by a thorn,
And your heart will bleed,
Sometimes it will be torn,
But inside is always a new seed,
There will always be change,
And yet it grows and grows,
Although it may seem strange,
Love is like a rose.....
I like this one very much... this is more than teenage angst. Full marks from me!
A beautifully written metaphor and that's something to say since a rose and love have been used as metaphors by many poets and writers. Yours was exceptional...and you're only 17 years old! Awesome.
