Love Rummages Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Love Rummages

Love rummages
Like an undulating tempest,
A rippling tide - my soul clenches
Like the shores upon collapsed currents;
It rips the soul from the entity
An unfathomable equinox
And how it rips is a perennial savagery -
It knows obsequious paths as it lunges,
Stalks, sojourns and then executes;
Such an enigmatic way of the heart:
Its desires and downfalls - like the crestfallen
Azure adorned with spiteful constellations.
Look at what love has made me;
A picturesque panorama where soul meets body -
Love rummages
Sifts through the darkness, eviscerates the skyline
A sudden upheaval of moored tapestries;
Love breathes underneath my skin
Vying to craft a fire out of flaccid qualm -
Love sculpts her feet, caresses her bony prominences,
The dagger of her nose and the flare lingering
On her fingertips;
Love found her, alone, shivering as the stars
Cold and blue fumble in their maimed paces
And love found me too, in one of the desolate corners,
Amalgamating shattered dreams and souls sundered.
Love found us, in the night where the expanse
Grows and stretches like the sea -
The waves tell the metaphors of the mishap,
The bedlam in the trenches scream our vicissitudes
As we meander over fire and lambaste through ice -
Love frays a subtle warfare,
A paroxysm of obsession - that is the armament
Of two souls fluttering in the verbose poetry of
Supple, prolix gardens as the wind denies the entry
Of winter.
Love lives, flourishes and blares as it thrives,
Ambles and waxes through the acquiescence of my cynosures
Only perhaps, to die, whittle away and wane as it
Vies to ensnare a lucid captivity.
Love rummages - it batters through everything.
Not even the ubiquity of the gods can halt this
Automatic riddle. Love rummages, until it sinks,
Crashes and then fades.
