Love Sonnet 136: 'Those Aspects You Have, Which Had Me Engrossed' Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

Love Sonnet 136: 'Those Aspects You Have, Which Had Me Engrossed'

Those aspects you have which had me engrossed,
To others may not really worth some note,
For from other blooms they have also glossed,
And to them would, a mere copy connote;
The profound way that charm of yours exudes,
To those, who through preconceived norms would peep,
Means nothing, as each one of them concludes
With age-old lore that beauty is skin-deep;
Pity the moon, which just the ocean skims,
Not privy to the lovely sights within,
As the soul glows, the outer woman dims,
With the skin's beauty that oft becomes thin;
.....Thus, to behold not with the seeing eyes,
.....Needs a heart that feels what the sight denies.
