Blue city swimming in irreproachable dreams,
Walking in the nighttime rain,
No despair on midnight streets,
No judgment calls on drunks vomiting
Sweetly in the gutter
Like saints for a new age,
Neon laughter on the corners,
Prostitutes in love,
Sorrow exiting in strange taxis,
I’m more ghost than poet
But you will see my invisible smile.
What a fantastic concept and it reminded me of the Mona Lisa with a not invisible for the hint of a smile. A highly original poem with vivid street imagery. 10 love Karin
Night music. There should be a sax playing in the background. Very profound use of the color blue to describe your city.10/10. Always your friend at poemhunter, Sandra
