Luck not in favor

Neither am I helpless
nor facing the restlessness
it is just the delicate phase
that makes me chase often

in the true terms,
the event has turned
against me from the day one
and never showed the let-up

I close the eyes
and try to evaluate
but fail to reach any conclusion
even though there remains no confusion

he was not for me at all
and stalled each move for compromise
this was a clear surprise
I made no foolish but wise move

he was let go easily
as it was silly
on my part to hold an unwilling soul
and face the high wall
