Lullaby Of Love Poem by Bonnie Collins

Lullaby Of Love

Rating: 4.7

Softly as you lie sleeping, I ran
my finger accross your tiny face
and traced it down to your chin

So peacefull you lie, with your
tiny little body all bundled for
your bedtime in your room with
Winnie standing guard at your door

In the middle of the night you will
awaken with all your raging lungs
sceaming with hunger, then silently
you rested upon the breast of nature
and fullfilled your tummy once again

Softly the lullaby of dreamland once
again takes you to slumberland, and
with your tiny finger wrapped around
my finger, I gently kiss you with a soft
tear of love in my heart......

Written for Tommaso at his birth.......

ahhhhh you have made me go all gooey and soft and maternal with this poem of whirl pooling love. You would be the best Grandmother there ever was. Such a treasured babe to fill your heart and soul with even more love than before.... Karin Anderson
