Luna Poem by Liiz Winters

Luna

When the day creatures hide
And the blue eyes shut down,
The yellow eyes roam with their mystical sounds
When the father stops shining,
And the birds stop their singing
The mother awakens
In her light we are bathing
When the wolf and the owl,
The bat and the cat
When they call to their mother,
As she calls them back
Protector, majestic, and giver of life
Mysterious beauty that lightens the night
When the day creatures hide
And the blue eyes shut down
The yellow eyes roam with their enchanting sounds
When ruler of oceans, goddess of streams
Guides whale, turtle and tuna
We thank our mother, our giver, our Luna.
