The delicate shimmering, shining PEARL:
knew not the rough waves of the sea,
nor what her fate was meant to be....
Thrust from her safe, protective shell
as fierce, deep water storms did swell:
forces that churning did bury her glow
in the dark sea's bed where none e'er go.
The days there were so very long.
Her life should have been a lilting song.
A fisherman, though, one day came.
He found that pearl...gave her his name.
On jewelry now she has her place;
She shines, has luster...Dark? No trace.
This pearl now glows with beauty rare:
Glory forever, soft and fair.
