Lying On The Floor In The Dark Poem by Tim Larsen

Lying On The Floor In The Dark

Rating: 4.3

If you position your body just right
you can lift the hardness from the floor
right out of the equation

And if you have the right angle
You can see out the window into the night
Where you’ll be roaming in an hour or so

You’ll pick yourself up from the floor
And turn on the light, shower, dress
Walk out the door

Then, after a day of meetings and speaking
You’ll strip from your clothes and
Lie down again, head up, in the dark

For some reason, you keep going back to it
For some reason, you can’t get enough
For some reason, you see so much better in the dark
