Madness Poem by Hanane Aad

Madness

The hand of the clock
is a second Nero
ordering the kingdom to be burnt.
The legions are defeated,
stumble over tears on their way.
The dragon Time
tears innocence apart,
assassinates the blue.
Time attacks
the pure forehead,
stealing its brilliance.
The egoist deems
great God his own,
the others -
all the others -
are blasphemous,
have gone crazy.
He orders their execution.

Translated by the authoress and John Wilmot
