Man Cannot Live On Poems Alone Poem by Sandra Black

Man Cannot Live On Poems Alone

Rating: 5.0

Man cannot live on poems alone
But on every word that is written and said
Words that make or break
Words that are sometimes real & very often fake

Man cannot live on runes alone
His life would be in ruins
A kiss in rhyme would match a miss
But in real it would be amiss

Man cannot live on poems
They would only make him happy
The perfection and the prose
Tis but an idle dream

When he wakes up
He would scream
Things as they say
Are not what they seem

How we wish we could live on and by poems, but ideals never come true nor do our lives construe. Fantastic and realistic high poetic endeavor! . You certainly, convinced me, and the poem was a true pleasure, to read. Good job!
