Man Of Many Faces Poem by Alon Calinao Dy

Man Of Many Faces

Rating: 5.0

I'm a proud Filipino from Philippines.
By confusing looks,
People think I'm a Chinese,
Indonesian, Korean, and Japanese.

People have different impressions on me.
Some say I'm a bad person
While others believe I'm a good person.
Yet, they don't know about me.

In a moment of silence,
Friends called me a loner and weird.
They can never understand
For being all alone means a crime.

I'm a man of many faces.
Within these masks,
There's only one that shows
A man with a golden heart for others.

There are times, you want to be all alone but it doesn't mean you hate hanging out with friends especially if your friends find a funny guy. Suddenly, you want to be alone. For them, that's weird and they will think you have problems. But it doesn't mean you are a loner. Sometimes, being alone helps us reflect our life's achievements. This poem is very nice to me! People can judge us on without a large picture of you ;) Score 10+++
