Marbles Poem by Randy McClave

Marbles

I have only one marble
But, my friend has two,
Pretty soon I will want more
Than just having a few.
My friend will probably have more marbles
Than what I have or will own,
Probably ones that are larger and more powerful
To be tossed and or to be thrown.
My neighbors also have their marbles
And so do the strangers as well,
They will want them in quantity and readability
As they are bought and are always for sell.
They are used in schools and in combat
Until that day when we understand life's marvels,
And when that fateful day arrives
We will then lose all of our marbles.
