Married Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Married

Rating: 5.0

The byres eerie silence,
A lazy Moon's shameless
Smile at the slow move a
Cluster of clouds make to
Turn it into a pale shadow;

Her splayed limbs cloyed
With an intoxicating vigor
Ready to be gifted to the
Raw passion of youth;

Hooting of scurrilous owl
Inviting dreams into kohl
Rimmed eyes accompanied
Music from butterfly lips;

The night's reticent pause,
Its failed attempt to rein in
Over mulish passionate wave
Gathering as storm in hearts;

Flippant wind's invidious
Forays into platonic ambiance
Unexpected click of a latch
Has set in to linger thick;

Faint clinks of coruscating
Bangles foretell about an
Obdurate dawn she wakes
Up to with a new surname.
