Mary Jane Sweet Delight Poem by Kevin Patrick

Mary Jane Sweet Delight

Mary Jane woke up with red eye
After hanging at the Kansas with Lou
Rock & Roll played loud from an old Juke Box
Inciting rhythm revolution in the room
Jamaican smoke hung thick to the saw dust
Uncles Sam's kids were sweating it loose
And Mary Jane danced till it was Sunday
Nobody had told her it was already noon
After waking up on Monday, she forgot her Saturday night
