Masks Poem by Allen Steble The Philosophical Poet

Masks

Many wear
Masks of happiness
To keep others happy
While they cry on the inside
Many wear
Masks of prosperity
To please random strangers
While they suffer the same poverty
All this leads to
Is a life of misery
Quietly hoping
That no one will see
