It's a weapon in the war
Brutality
Injustice
Disrespect
A wounded fighter
A murdered warrior
Colored
Negro
African American
Fight
Die
Upon such a
Bloody battleground!
A country to fight for
A flag to defend
You make it yours!
No credit is given
A hero exposing cowardice!
A society of nakedness
Cannot hide itself
It must face the truth
And the truth is
The light!
And a man is
No less of a man
Because of his color!
