Maths Poem by Neha Deshwal

Maths

Maths..
It taught me addition of happiness
But subtracted my brain.
It taught me division and sharing
But multiplied my tension.
It taught me straight lines and circles
But made my life a spiral.
It taught me relation and function of numbers
But created a mess in my real life relations.
It taught me to solve matrices and determinants
But shattered my determination of happy life.
It taught me probability
But probability of my life and smile became zer0.
It taught me how to handle large data with stats
But my graph of stress could not fit in any table of stats.
It taught me algebra and trigonometry
But in real life only failures and experiences helped.
It taught me differentiation and integration
But I never understood how to differentiate pain and integrate joy.
I decided to frighten maths and win the battle, I learned each formula but then calculations came to scare me.
It's a never ending battle but I am also not a looser.
