Matinée Poem by Orlando Rodriguez Jr.

Matinée

Rating: 4.8

Considering the thought of her comfort and only,
I worry, indeed, if she thinks I’m not stalling.
To think that her heart is not guarded as closely,
I fear of the one day of it ever falling.

Nor I can prevent the breaking, or shatters,
In spite being present the moment it happens.
The pieces they fracture, and so does her spirit,
And just seconds after, inhibits an absence.
